Here at The Premier Group, we’ve noticed a marked increase in demand for real estate in Woodstock, Alpharetta, Roswell, and other metro Atlanta areas, and that increase is corroborated by a recent study by United Van Lines. According to the company’s annual Post-Peak Season Moving Trends Summary, Atlanta was the second most popular moving destination in the US!
Residential moves rose 8.5 percent year over year from May through August, correlating with the recent improvements in the housing market. Home sales continue to grow, and in July they hit 5.39 million, making it the best month for home sales since 2009. The 17.2 percent jump in residential real estate sales goes to show that the housing market is returning to full strength, even with mortgage rates on the rise.
Many transplants to the Atlanta area are drawn by the relatively low cost of living, great schools, family-friendly communities, and especially Alpharetta’s booming tech industry. These benefits of the town have made buying a house in Alpharetta increasingly competitive.
If you’re searching homes for sale in Alpharetta or other Atlanta areas, it’s important to enlist the services of a professional team of Realtors. Competition is fierce and the home-buying process may feel overwhelming, but with the help of an experienced real estate agent you can find your dream home. Here at TPG, we are very familiar with the local real estate market because we live, work, and play here in north Fulton, Cherokee, and Cobb County.
